Dominance War V
Well you don't have to join CGhub's team(I will. However for those unaware there is a global CG artist competition going that everyone can compete in. However I warn you if you join up and compete don't bring your A game, bring your AAA Game because you'll be competing against people who produce Triple A quality work. This competition is annual and usually sponsered by big companies such as Blizzard, Bioware, gameartisans, etc. The prizes are big and it's a media covered event as well considered to be the olympics of CG artists. I encourage everyone who wants to make a name for themself to get involved, because even if you don't win you people do watch this compeition and as they say "you never know whos watching".
Currently the event is in the "warm-up" stage. involving the creation of MMO class concepts. I could easily fill this entire page with information, but that would be rude. So I'll simply say for more information either click the image above or go here:

Blindrat Studios
I kept forgetting to do this sorry. here is a screencap of my website, I've learned a few more tricks and experimented a bit with a few alternate layouts, but this served as a good stomping ground for me. I decided against uploading it to my host. However I'll be posting screencaps of the new portfolio later in the week.

In addition, here's also a screenshot of WIP website:
Like I said before its a WIP. There are small edits I need to make but overall I am very
pleased with the way my website came out: It was frustrating and very tedious but
I am very happy with the way it came out and I hope to keep polishing my css. editing skills
and help make my website truly stand out.

My Portfolio
For my portfolio design, I first and foremost, wanted this website to represent this part of me so I naturally gravitated towards the "crotchety kitsch" that I use in a lot of my work. You can see how stringently I used a grid to layout the elements of my website but the colors are very fun and little kid-like. The cherry on top of all of this rediculosity is the world's most awesome cat dreaming about rainbow cake (which is very delicious so who wouldn't want to dream about it all day every day) and cursing.
jeffreymariano.com
www.jeffreymariano.com is a portfolio website. The main intention of the website is to highlight my graphic work rather than the website itself. This is the reason why all I worked in a two lines grids with white tables. I was influenced by Jeffrey Zeldman who uses the same layout for his website. I am working on my wordpress blog which will replace the existing one.

Sketchbook Tour 2011
This isnt directly related to web design, but i thought it was a pretty cool project nonetheless so I figured I'd share it with you all. As artists and designers, we've all at some point used a sketchbook so here's your chance to get your work seen and eventually become part of a permanent exhibit at the Brooklyn Art Library. For more information, visit the website below. The deadline for signups is November 15, 2010. Enjoy.

CGhub challenge
Hey guys and gals, there is currently a competition going on at CGhub that anyone can join in. It involves using mudbox which is a digital sculpting program. The challenge is to create a warrior concept and using the mudbox software make a digital sculpt out of it. The software is free to use for the duration of the contest. I figured this would be relevant to us as we're a class exploring new media. Digital sculpture and 3d printing is still a fairly new form that has been taking off lately so if anyone is interested in joining in the fun, professional or beginner to 3d modeling this is a great opportunity to learn a new software and have a chance at possibly winning something for your efforts.

The Crowtoriun
Hey guys sorry for not being there. I had to deal with a very bad case of medical mess today. I'm doing a little better, but anyway when I was able to get up and work I decided to upload and make the site available for everyone to access and use on their own time. I wanted to make this a weekly event and kind of thing and the site is based off old Dungeouns and dragons mixed with choose your own adventure, making it into a hybrid of a story and a game. If anyone wants to check the coding or look at the art files up close the files are there for you to use(as long as you're not profiting from it of course hehe) I left in the words on both the pages and text as aI tested it on a few people and some prefered to have one or the other or both. I personally am not too sure about it, so any input if at all possible would be lovely.
Also for the love of god, do not use comcast personal webhosting to host your site, it is a really painful process to get everything working, because you have to set permisions for each file one at a time.
Rebound Game
we've all been there. you got dumped! and it sucks superbad hardcore and sometimes the mourning process can be considerable. eventually, though, you have to put away the twinkies, dry your eyes, and put yourself back on the market. my project is about getting back on the dating wagon. in my REBOUND GAME, you hit the clubs, end up trading numbers with three mr. right NOWs and you get to choreograph your perfect rebound date. :)

PC
What if?
Hello everyone,
my non-linear story is a funny approach to my life. I have always wondered what would happen if I would never came to USA. What alternative life I would have in Poland? What would happen if I would decide not to date my current husband, who was the only reason I decided to stay in US. So the story is about my potential guess of what could happen, and you can decide what journey I will take:). I drew very simple, child like drawings to make it light and funny story, because in reality all those decisions were hard and life changinng in the ways I did not even imagine.
